  1. how are your offerings different from other personal stylists?

    choosing dutchess for your style transformation means investing in a holistic approach to styling created to serve and support you in the emergence,
    rebirth, or refinement of your creative essence. this process compassionately calls you to examine your fears, your stumbling blocks,
    and any imprints
    you may be carrying with you around body shame and self-worth. our time together creates a safe container for your vulnerability, and supports you
    in your own self-healing process. the result is not only an unlocking of the flyness within, but more importantly, a deepening of your sense of self, your
    courage, and your confidence. the combination of my own healing journey, and my education and years of experience in fashion, yoga, women’s
    empowerment work, and medicine work have shaped my soul purpose and my unique ability to guide others in this process.

    you’re also investing in a vision that is much bigger than our one-on-one sessions. there a loads of stylists out there who can fill your closet with great
    pieces and well-known designer labels, but there are very few who aim to actively push back against big corporations, oppressive power structures,
    and narrow beauty standards through conscious shopping practices, social responsibility practices, and a growing emphasis on bringing body and
    beauty diversity into the mainstream. you are also investing in woman-owned and operated independent business, which is never not an awesome
    thing to do.

  2. how do i know if your services will be a good fit for my needs?
    i offer free 20min phone/skype consultations every thursday from 12-4pm [for new clients only]. contact me to schedule a consultation and feel into whether
    or not my approach and offerings are a good fit for your goals and needs!

  3. what regions do you serve for personal styling?

    i serve San Francisco and the greater East Bay Area. in SF, i will travel as far west as Ocean Beach, as far south as Daly City, as far north as North Beach.
    in the East Bay, i will travel as far north as Richmond, as far east as Montclair, and as far south as San Leandro.

  4. what can i expect to pay in travel expenses?

    my travel rates are based on the amount of time it takes me to reach you, because my time is money, and i'm serving a large area with loads of traffic.

    under 30 min :: $20

    30-60 min :: $40
    60-90min :: $60
    90-120min :: $80
    over 120min :: $100+

    travel fees are not included in the cost of your of styling service [as per the decriptions on my personal styling page] and can be paid with credit card,
    paypal, venmo, or cash on the day of our session.

  5. would you ever be willing to travel outside of your region for personal styling?

    absolutely. if you live outside the SF Bay Area, and would like to hire me for an out-of-area project, feel free to contact me here and i’d be glad to send
    you my travel rates and specifics about accommodations.

  6. i see a lot of skin showing in your photos, but i prefer to be more conservative in how i feature my body. can you still style me?

    ABSOLUTELY! dutchess styling can be adapted to serve just about any style goal [i say ‘just about’ because if you’re hellbent on wearing mormon underwear,
    i’m probably not the girl for you], and
    i can guide you in creating an expressive and flattering style for your body that shows as little or as much skin as you desire.
    it is one of my greatest joys to help people bring THEIR vision to life through my creative lens. rupaul once said "when you become the image of your own imagination,
    it's the most powerful thing you could ever do". i could not agree more. i care deeply about helping you express exactly what it is that YOU want share with the world
    through your style, and supporting you in feeling confident and proud of the body you have.

  7. your style is a bit much for my office. can you really style people for the workplace?

    ABSOLUTELY! despite nearly everyone’s outfits in the corporate world telling you otherwise, having a dress code doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your individuality.
    there is SO much that can be done with careerwear! our sessions will teach you how to color inside the lines just enough to work within your dress code, without
    surrendering your creativity in the process.

    placed on any current services or future bookings until your account is square.

  11. what is your cancellation policy?
